Why has our black tea been popular for more than 600 years? From the Chinese emperor of the Ming Dynasty who only loved black tea, to during World War II, one ton of our Yunnan black tea could be exchanged for 10 tons of arms, and then to the 2015 Queen of England’s state banquet, which designated our black tea as a welcome guest. Our black tea has a 600-year legend strung together with one leaf. It is expensive and has confidence – it is the gift of water and soil, the condensation of ingenuity, and it is a fragrance business card handed to the world by the Chinese. After receiving our tea, you might as well slow down and savor it carefully: every sip is a taste of history.
Why is our black tea worth collecting? The production area is carefully selected. Only the golden tea-producing belt of 27° north latitude (Wuyi Mountain, Qimen and other places) can grow top-quality black tea. One pound of black tea requires 40,000 buds. The master hand-kneads it for 6 hours to produce the honey aroma. The traditional process of “passing the red pot” allows the tea leaves to slowly transform into floral and fruity aroma during charcoal roasting.
The tea of Danzhu Jieluo is not grown in self-cultivated tea gardens, because the spirit tea must come from wild ancient tree tea with “plentiful spiritual energy in the ground and long and lush trees” and is processed using ancient methods. Therefore, it is purely wild, 0 pesticide residues, 0 additives, and absorbs the essence of local ancient tree tea. These tea trees have been rooted in the soil for hundreds or even thousands of years, absorbing the essence of the earth and protecting the secrets of the years. Due to environmental and time constraints, the amount of ancient tree tea picked each year is extremely limited. Of course, such tea trees are relatively rare, so every gram of Danzhu Jieluo’s tea is an orphan, collection grade, and cannot be mass-produced. It can only be supplied in limited quantities. Some ancient tea trees even need to be booked a year in advance. Being able to buy it is a blessing.
